We are incredibly excited to announce David Wenham as our second major The Lord of the Rings guest!
🏹 THE LORD OF THE RINGS
David Wenham is of course best known for his role as Faramir in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. As the younger son of Denethor and brother of Boromir, Faramir is a skilled captain of Gondor who struggles with his father’s expectations while remaining loyal to what he believes is right.
In The Return of the King, Faramir and Éowyn, played by Miranda Otto, develop a special connection. Both have suffered because of the war and both feel misunderstood by those around them. Their relationship eventually grows into love, giving the trilogy one of its most touching stories.

⚔️ 300
In Zack Snyder’s 300, David Wenham played Dilios, one of the Spartan warriors fighting alongside King Leonidas. Dilios also serves as the narrator of the film, telling the story of the 300 Spartans and their final stand at Thermopylae.
🧛 VAN HELSING
Fans of Hugh Jackman will know David Wenham as Carl from Van Helsing. Carl is a friar and the loyal companion of Van Helsing, joining him on his dangerous mission to defeat Dracula and his supernatural enemies. Armed with knowledge, inventions and plenty of humour, Carl becomes an essential part of Van Helsing’s journey.
🏴☠️ PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
David Wenham also joined the Pirates of the Caribbean universe in Dead Men Tell No Tales, where he played Lieutenant John Scarfield. Scarfield is a ruthless officer of the Royal Navy who becomes involved in the hunt for Jack Sparrow and the other pirates.
🥋 IRON FIST
In the Marvel series Iron Fist, David Wenham played Harold Meachum, a wealthy and powerful businessman and the father of Ward and Joy Meachum. Harold is closely connected to Danny Rand’s family and becomes a key figure in the conflict surrounding Danny and the Iron Fist.
